Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-out: Complete guest registration and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Room Assignments: Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests, taking into account their preferences and needs.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle cash, credit card, and currency conversions, as well as compute bills and collect payments.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude.
  • Hotel Services: Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Communication: Respond to phone calls, retrieve guest mail, faxes, and packages, and make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations.
  • Knowledge and Familiarity: Maintain familiarity with hotel operations, including the front desk, night audit, recreation, and reservations, as well as the hotel computer system.
  • Guest Complaints: Field and help resolve guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication with Colleagues: Provide constant and consistent communication with guest services and the Front Office Manager.
  • Posting Charges: Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to the ledger.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous Front Desk Experience: Previous front desk experience is preferred.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy is required.
