Mobile Phlebotomist - Lexington

Work Schedule & Training: Wednesday to Saturday (block schedule with flexible hours, Sundays are typically off). The schedule will be assigned following the completion of approximately 10-12 weeks of training, which will occur Monday to Friday, though not necessarily in consecutive weeks.

Note: Employees may occasionally be required to work outside their regular schedules due to special events, shift coverage needs, or business requirements.

Compensation: $20.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience (includes a $1.50 mobile premium).

Role Description: We are seeking a Phlebotomist to assist volunteer donors through the registration, medical screening, and blood collection processes. Regular travel with a team to various locations within Kentucky is required. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to quickly learn new procedures. Collaboration with team members and effective public interaction are essential.

Work Environment: This role is physically demanding and regularly involves:

  • Lifting and transporting up to 40 pounds for loading, unloading, or restocking.
  • Carrying equipment up and down stairs.
  • Setting up and dismantling equipment at various venues.
  • Traveling by vehicle to and from blood donation sites.
  • Occasional duties at donor centers.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Engaging with donors and providing general customer service.
  • Reading, comprehending, and applying Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Inputting and retrieving information using a computer or tablet.

Training: Training will take approximately 10 to 12 weeks at our Beaumont location in Lexington (this period may not be consecutive).

Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Proof of education and certifications will be required during the interview process. Relevant training and education are advantageous. Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
