Photography Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Photography Instructor to join our team at Foothill De Anza Community College District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Theory and Techniques of Photography courses, including basic to advanced photographic skills, studio photography techniques, and photographic post-production applications.
Responsibilities- Teach photography courses to students of varying skill levels, providing instruction and guidance on photographic techniques and principles.
- Develop and implement curriculum for photography courses, ensuring alignment with district and college standards.
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to promote student learning and growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and best practices in photography education.
- Master's degree in Photography or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Photography or a related field with significant photography experience.
- Experience teaching photography courses at the community college level.
- Strong knowledge of photography principles and techniques, including studio and post-production applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
The successful candidate will work in an indoor office environment, with regular standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. The position requires the ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds, and to bend, kneel, or crouch as needed.
