Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Photography Instructor to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension. As a Photography Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching digital photography courses to students of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and teaching digital photography courses, including curriculum design and delivery.
  • Providing expert instruction and guidance to students, including one-on-one feedback and support.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Staying current with industry developments and best practices in digital photography.
  • Collaborating with other instructors and staff to develop and implement new programs and initiatives.


Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional artist in the field of photography.
  • Current knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in digital photography techniques and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Ability to provide visual samples of work that demonstrates excellence in the field.
  • Commitment to the highest level of academic standards and integrity.


Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in a related field and/or teaching experience are highly desirable.
