Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Photography Instructor to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension. As a Photography Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching digital photography courses to students of all skill levels.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in photography and teaching, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and teaching digital photography courses, including curriculum design and delivery
  • Providing individualized instruction and feedback to students
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Staying current with industry developments and best practices in digital photography
  • Collaborating with other instructors and staff to develop and implement course materials


Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A strong background in photography, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in digital photography software and equipment


Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in a related field and experience designing curriculum and measuring student performance are highly desirable.
