Job Title: Direct Support Professional III

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a DSP III, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities:

* Provide routine and emergency care, treatment, and training to individuals with intellectual disabilities
* Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, bathing, and feeding
* Administer medication and provide first aid as needed
* Observe and report changes in an individual's physical condition or behavior
* Participate in the development of individualized treatment plans
* Provide training and mentorship to new DSPs

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to read, write, and speak English
* Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and teams
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Ability to provide physical support and assistance as needed
