This is a unique opportunity to join the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services as a Nurse III - Long-term Care Regulation. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents in long-term care settings across the state of Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections and investigations to assess compliance with state and federal laws and rules.
- Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and resolve issues.
- Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Revisit facilities to verify correction of previously cited regulatory violations.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of documents and reports.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of nursing principles and acceptable professional standards of patient care.
- Knowledge of program regulations and procedures, and survey techniques and principles.
- Ability to multi-task and track multiple activities with competing priorities.
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
- Ability to integrate complex concepts, difficult procedures, or complicated processes.
