Key Responsibilities- Advocate and Educator: Serve as a patient advocate and educator, providing guidance and support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process.
- Communication Expert: Facilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the care team.
- Clinical Care Coordinator: Provide competent clinical care to patients during office visits, including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.
- Resource Navigator: Connect patients with resources and social support systems to help them navigate the healthcare system and access necessary services.
- Financial Services Liaison: Assist patients in accessing financial services to pay for healthcare needs.
- Research Participant Coordinator: Identify patients as potential research subjects for available clinical trials and work with investigators and other members of the clinical research team to facilitate participation.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach and education efforts to raise public awareness about healthcare services and promote healthy behaviors.
- Education: RN, (Associates, Diploma, BSN)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a related field (Surgery/Oncology)
- Skills: Good computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and strong critical thinking skills
- Licenses and Certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
