Your Role

">

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Risk Analytics team. As a key member of this team, you will leverage your actuarial expertise to design innovative methods for assessing cyber risk and drive them into actionable decisions for the business.

Responsibilities:

">
  • Leverage actuarial knowledge to create creative and non-traditional solutions for cyber risk assessment
  • Research and experiment with new statistical/mathematical techniques to manage risk in the complex field of cyber
  • Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and imagination within the team
  • Develop working relationships with key stakeholders to share insights and identify opportunities for material impact on the portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Insurance Product Team to recommend and propose risk actions based on monitoring and review of internal tools
  • Help improve operational efficiency through automation and optimization

Requirements:

">
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Direct actuarial experience, with ACAS to FCAS or other equivalent designation preferred
  • 3+ years P&C experience in an insurance company/tech company/Insurtech/consulting company
  • Direct statistical modeling experience, with a focus on continual iterations and refinement
  • Experience with using SQL for data manipulation and Python for various forms of analysis

What You'll Achieve

">

In 3 months, you will have a deep understanding of the cyber risk landscape and the cyber insurance market, including aspects such as threat actor ecosystem and cyber insurance coverages. You will also start experimenting with advanced statistical/mathematical models and techniques to understand individual components of the cyber risk landscape.

In 6 months, you will be piecing together the individual components of the cyber risk landscape to build towards a comprehensive risk management strategy that relies on statistical models and techniques. You will also be collaborating with key stakeholders to share insights and identify opportunities for material impact on the portfolio.
