Training and Development Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that support field operations. Your expertise will help our staff develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain course curriculum to ensure it is relevant and effective
  • Conduct and track employee training to ensure compliance and quality
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps and training objectives
  • Design, create, and update training aids, such as manuals, handouts, course exercises, and visual aids
  • Deliver instruction using multiple modalities, including one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, web-based training, and computer-based training
  • Confer with management, internal training consultants, and HR to identify additional training needs
  • Ensure ongoing feedback of training programs and modify programs as needed
  • Prepare and facilitate client-specific and clinical type training, as well as new hire orientation, CPR, and medical administration
  • Provide input regarding the formulation and modification of procedures and practices pertaining to agency training
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational and industrial trends and make appropriate recommendations for new or updated training programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One year of related experience preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification as required by state
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle for on-the-job use due to traveling throughout the region to conduct trainings
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships
  • Self-motivated and collaborative; a team player
