Vascular Interventional Radiology Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Vascular Interventional Radiology Specialist to join our team at Stride Healthcare Management LLC. This role involves performing specialized radiological procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Conducts specialized and invasive radiological procedures on patients, adhering to all radiation safety protocols. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, explaining procedures, administering contrast agents when necessary, positioning patients accurately, selecting suitable imaging techniques, and ensuring the technical quality of the images produced.
- Assumes responsibility for surgical scrub duties and operation of X-ray equipment.
- Ensures all necessary supplies and X-ray equipment are prepared and available for each assigned procedure.
- Manages timely turnover of the Vascular Lab while observing cost-effectiveness and conservation when opening supplies for procedures.
- Restocks Vascular Lab supplies as workload permits and assists in preparing supplies for upcoming procedures.
- Sets up and maintains X-ray equipment for both major and minor interventional procedures, applying specialized knowledge in radiology.
- Communicates effectively with medical personnel to facilitate coordination of patient care across all disciplines.
- Adapts promptly to changes in workload, adjusting assignments as necessary to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Plans all work steps to ensure successful outcomes, considering time, supplies, and support needed from other departments.
- Adheres to all safety regulations while on duty, reporting any accidents and addressing minor safety hazards. Engages with colleagues and management regarding any identified workplace hazards.
- Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Willingness to travel to various Vascular Labs as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiology Technology.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in specialized procedures, such as in a catheterization lab.
- Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- ARRT certification in Radiology is required.
- AART certification in Interventional Radiology (IR) is preferred.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
