Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes. This role involves compiling payroll data, entering timesheets, and performing quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and process payroll data, including timesheets and benefits information
  • Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Reconcile errors and discrepancies in payroll data
  • Process payroll, including printing checks and direct deposit notifications
  • Transmit direct deposit files to financial institutions
  • Enter local and federal Prevailing Wage rates into payroll system
  • Generate Certified Payroll reports
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, including courses in business administration
  • Minimum 5 years' experience processing payroll
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications and automated Payroll systems
  • Knowledge of general payroll and tax practices
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow procedures
