The School of Architecture at the University of Virginia is seeking a Grants and Contracts Administrator to support the lifecycle of sponsored program administration.

Company Overview

The School of Architecture, comprised of four interrelated disciplines, provides a rich setting for professional education. We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture, Architectural History, Landscape Architecture, and Urban and Environmental Planning.

Salary

This position is eligible to be hired at the intermediate or senior level based on candidate qualifications. Salary will be commensurate with level of position and candidate experience: $68,000-$96,000 per year.

Job Description

This position will perform activities related to the lifecycle of sponsored program administration, including:

  • Funding source identification
  • Proposal submission
  • Contract review
  • Sub-award issuance
  • Post-award administration (financial and non-financial)

These duties will be performed in coordination with principal investigators, administrators, and other staff members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek a strong communicator with:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years of related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently

Preferred qualifications include Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification and experience with Workday financials and/or Huron.

This position is a hybrid-eligible role, requiring occasional on-site attendance. The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check prior to their first day of employment.
