About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough observations and document construction progress for civil projects related to civil infrastructure.
  • Provide expert oversight and serve as a deputy consultant Project Manager, overseeing Construction management consultant services.
  • Assist with monitoring project efforts, reviewing Construction Change Orders (CCOs), Certificates of Substantial Completion (CDs), and facilitating the review and approval process.
  • Support various field activities, including monitoring and documentation.
  • Contribute to the pursuit of new projects and programs, utilizing expertise in Office Engineering and construction inspection, including meeting with clients, reviewing plans and field conditions, and assisting with proposal writing.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of varied experience with capital improvement projects in transportation, transit, rail, or vertical construction.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Flexibility with regards to assignment and location.
  • Understanding of construction methods, specifications, and plans, with the ability to explain requirements to others.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • EIT or PE, or active pursuit of professional licensure.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passing drug-screening procedures prior to hire and subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
