Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough observations of construction progress for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, documenting findings and insights.
  • Provide expert oversight and serve as deputy consultant Project Manager, overseeing Construction management consultant services.
  • Assist with monitoring project efforts, reviewing Construction Change Orders (CCOs), and facilitating the review and approval process.
  • Support various field activity monitoring and documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the pursuit of new projects and programs, leveraging expertise in Office Engineering and construction inspection, including meeting with clients, reviewing plans and field conditions, and assisting with proposal writing.
  • Perform other duties as needed, supporting the team's efforts to deliver exceptional results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of varied experience with capital improvement projects in transportation, transit, rail, or vertical construction.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and requirements.
  • Flexibility with regards to assignment and location, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, specifications, and plans, with the ability to explain requirements to others.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • EIT or PE licensure, or active pursuit of professional licensure.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug-screening procedure and be subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
  • A commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
