Key Responsibilities- Answer telephones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Take concise messages and relay information to healthcare providers as needed.
- Scan and index information into the medical record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Handle requests for medical records and basic scheduling, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- 1 year of clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with cashier procedures, basic accounting, and clinic check-in/out procedures.
- Knowledge of health insurance, HMO, PPO, and basic medical terminology.
- General knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.
- 6 months of customer service experience, with a focus on telephone customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Must be able to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle or personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS-owned) and have a current driver's license from the state of residence.
- For clinic staff assigned duties of entering orders in the electronic medical records, certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
