Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough inspections of aircraft engines, articles, and components to ensure compliance with AAR's Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with peers, lead, supervisor, and manager to develop and implement quality metrics and improve processes.
- Process incoming and outgoing materials to meet QMS and customer requirements.
- Ensure accurate traceability of products to prevent counterfeit and suspect parts from entering our inventory or customer inventory.
- Develop a basic understanding of product certification from the Production Approval Holder and certification for return to service.
- Conduct inspections, including document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life-limited records, and materials subject to electrostatic discharge.
- Review technical and regulatory data, including Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, and FAA regulations.
- Operate calibrated measurement and test equipment, such as digital micrometers, pin gages, and digital calipers.
- Ensure all work is performed to Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, customer instructions, and relevant specifications and standards.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
This position is located in a warehouse setting, and candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment. The employee may be required to use a forklift, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and comply with OSHA standards. The employee may also be required to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.
