Surgical Operations Assistant

As a Surgical First Assist at Maine Medical Center, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical operations. This position requires a high level of skill and expertise, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical operations, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Operate surgical equipment, including both sterile and non-sterile equipment, with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient operating room experience.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve surgical skills and knowledge.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Assisting program.
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Two years' assisting experience preferred, with documentation of training and expertise provided.
