About the Role:

MaineHealth is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique and operating room standards
  • Participate in the teaching and training of staff and students
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures

Requirements:

  • One year of surgical technology work experience
  • Knowledge of multiple types of equipment pertinent to the Surgical Technologist role
  • Ability to stand continually for several hours and move, position, transport patients, stretchers, equipment, etc.
