As a Clinical Practice Specialist at Ascension, you will serve as a clinical, quality, evidence-based practice and patient safety expert. Your expertise will drive nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

You will partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and support caregivers to improve outcomes. Assist in identifying opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes, and collaborate with clinical leaders and clinical professional development to identify gaps and develop plans to improve professional growth, skills, and competencies.

{"h3": "Data-Driven Decision Making"}

Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality/patient safety data with a focus on using data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice. Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.

Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership. Aide in the analysis of research outcomes and devise strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years applicable experience required.
  • 5 years preferred.
