Job Overview

Uhrig Construction Inc is in search of a seasoned Project Manager with over 5 years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing commercial projects, ensuring high standards of organization and communication throughout the process.

Position Summary: This role is pivotal in driving revenue generation and maintaining the company's profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall performance of construction projects to guarantee client satisfaction. Conduct thorough inspections to identify any potential issues.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients from project approval through to completion, managing all facets of the project until final closeout.
  • Engage in project turnover with senior management, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate, while identifying critical lead items and reviewing project timelines and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and analyze job tracking reports to monitor project costs and profitability, ensuring timely and budget-friendly job completions.
  • Coordinate job start dates and allocate personnel, including subcontractors, to optimize project efficiency, working closely with the Job Superintendent.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and attend off-site job meetings as necessary to represent the company's interests, documenting any scheduling or performance issues.
  • Collaborate with the Field Manager to effectively schedule employees and subcontractors for maximum project efficiency.
  • Manage invoicing for progress and final billings in conjunction with the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any concerns to uphold customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor Forepersons, Carpenters, and Laborers, including conducting performance evaluations and managing timecard approvals.
  • Identify potential sales leads and foster new client relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors.
  • Uphold and promote the company's image at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
