Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Provide end-to-end customer support, solutions, planning, and implementation of fiber connectivity solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Daily management of construction vendors to expedite the construction and splicing of OSP facilities.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with jurisdictions and ROW contacts, such as cities, counties, and railroad.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Oversee timely permitting submittal and on-time performance of engineering and construction vendors.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide specialized telecommunications technical expertise.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate with internal and external resources to effect the timely completion of projects.
  • Financial Management: Create and track project budgets in relationship to Network Operations.
  • Customer Interface: Provide direct interface with customers, subcontractors, jurisdictional authorities, and interoffice personnel.
  • Procurement: Oversee procurement of equipment and materials related to assigned projects.
  • Bid Process: Execute Bid Process, inclusive of budgetary requirements and tracking thereof.
  • Project Documentation: Verify and update project documentation.
  • Project Tracking: Timely tracking of project progress and budget in Salesforce and manual tracker.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experience.
  • Skills: Familiarity with all types of outside plant construction, experience managing large capital projects, and proficiency in Email, MS Excel, Word, Google Earth, and AutoCad.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven negotiation skills, business-minded, and ability to maintain a commercial focus.
