Position Summary

The Tuxedo Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of a department involved in the tuxedo rental and dry cleaning processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff in the tuxedo production and dry cleaning areas.
  • Set ambitious goals for both individuals and teams.
  • Collaborate with management to formulate and implement operational strategies.
  • Facilitate training for team members.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address merchandise processing and shipping challenges.
  • Engage in daily planning discussions with Tuxedo Rental managers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with management, staff, store personnel, and vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental best practices.
  • Manage equipment inventory effectively.
  • Foster a high-quality work environment.
  • Track and document metrics to assess departmental efficiency.
  • Oversee formal training and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct operational analyses on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Lead special projects as required.
  • Promote high employee morale.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing a sizable workforce in a production or high-volume distribution setting.
  • Hands-on leadership and management skills are essential.
  • Experience in Process Management, Inventory Control, and Quality Assurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning proprietary software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills are necessary.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities across various responsibilities.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Dependable team player with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements
