Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the work of a general highway maintenance crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of a highway maintenance crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including traffic control, equipment availability, and personnel management.
  • Evaluate the skill level of subordinate staff and make recommendations for training and performance improvement.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with overall organizational goals.
Requirements
  • One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1 or two years of experience in lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
