Position Overview
Nuvance Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients within our healthcare network. This role involves taking responsibility for a designated group of patients during specific time frames, ensuring their needs are met through a collaborative approach with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, your duties will include:
  1. Conducting thorough assessments of patients, focusing on their physiological, psychological, and cognitive conditions.
  2. Developing a structured plan of care that prioritizes nursing diagnoses and desired patient outcomes.
  3. Delivering care consistently and knowledgeably, utilizing your nursing skills effectively.
  4. Setting priorities for patient care based on critical needs and available resources.
  5. Assessing the effectiveness of care provided and monitoring patient progress towards outcomes.
  6. Identifying and addressing the learning needs of patients and their significant others.
  7. Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  8. Adhering to all compliance requirements related to the nursing position.
  9. Performing additional duties as assigned by the healthcare leadership.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Nursing certification and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Work Schedule
This position requires full-time commitment with a standard work schedule of 36 hours per week, primarily during evening and night shifts, including weekends as necessary.

Physical Requirements
The role demands significant manual dexterity and the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to various occupational hazards, including noise and biological materials.
