Position Title: Senior Analyst, Consumer Intelligence

Reporting To: Director of Consumer Insights, E-commerce

Overview:
This position is integral to the Consumer Insights team, playing a pivotal role in guiding Marketing's analytical efforts and category comprehension through the consumer perspective. The aim is to facilitate informed brand strategies that align with the company's objectives. The individual will support a diverse range of brands, delivering proactive insights on business performance, brand vitality, consumption patterns, competitive landscape, and consumer and retailer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive monthly performance tracking to swiftly identify significant shifts in brand performance and communicate findings to brand leadership.
  • Articulate the current state of brand performance against established goals, analyze driving factors, and propose actionable strategies to enhance outcomes.
  • Generate monthly reports and presentations for senior management, including brand scorecards and health assessments.
  • Construct and refine consumption models to discern patterns between shipments and consumer behavior, contributing to production forecasts and financial planning.
  • Establish reporting standards for ongoing business performance as well as evaluations following key marketing initiatives, such as product launches and media campaigns.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, translating data into meaningful insights and narratives.
  • Design, enhance, and implement reporting mechanisms on overall category and brand performance, identifying key growth drivers and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with consumer insights to create and maintain consumer handbooks that elucidate the dynamics of brand and competitor consumer bases.
  • Integrate actual consumer behavior data with stated attitudes to provide a comprehensive view of market dynamics.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements using existing capabilities and recommend enhancements, including potential new analytical tools and data visualization partners.
  • Effectively communicate any necessary changes in data requirements to enhance understanding of business and brand performance.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Skills:
    • Proficient in Data Analysis: Ability to identify critical trends and drivers within complex datasets and present compelling narratives for various stakeholders, including senior management.
    • Naturally Curious: A drive to explore and understand the underlying reasons behind business performance and consumer behavior.
    • Excel Expertise: Advanced skills in Excel to transform data into insightful visual stories.
    • Familiarity with IRI/Nielsen POS and Shipment Data: Expertise in navigating and interpreting this data effectively.
    • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is advantageous.
    • Energetic and proactive, with a strong sense of urgency and reliability.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business is required.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in Marketing, preferably within FMCG or CPG sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.

Work Environment:
Hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office collaboration.

Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel may be required.
