Role Summary:
The Parts Inventory Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional service to MaineDOT personnel requiring parts and equipment essential for their operations. This role encompasses inventory management, data entry in inventory systems, and customer interaction, with occasional driving duties to procure parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to MANCON's standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Greet and assist customers, verifying that requisition forms are accurately completed.
- Provide information regarding parts availability and ensure correct parts are identified and supplied.
- Drive to designated locations to acquire parts, ensuring all vendor documentation is properly handled.
- Conduct data entry tasks, including generating invoices and entering vendor receiving documents into the inventory system.
- Participate in weekly inventory cycle counts and assist with comprehensive inventory audits.
- Adhere to maintenance guidelines for vehicles and equipment, providing emergency support as needed.
- Engage in ongoing training and assist with supervisory duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of computer experience.
- Availability for 24-hour support.
- Valid Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience.
- Experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck parts preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves medium physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. Work is primarily conducted in storerooms and warehouses, which may have variable temperatures and conditions.
Background Checks:
Successful candidates will undergo credit, criminal, and DMV checks.
