Job Summary

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team in Riverside, CA. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing quality inspections, operating under good manufacturing practices (GMP), and adhering to the HACCP system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections of products to ensure they meet food safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Operate under GMP and be familiar with the HACCP system.
  • Observe and report all food product deficiencies.
  • Participate in conducting plant audits and third-party audits.
  • Perform manual and automated quality testing, analyzing, and recording related results.
  • Inspect production equipment and machinery to ensure they are operating efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other production departments to ensure the production process runs smoothly.
  • Inspect raw materials to ensure they meet specifications for shape, size, and quality.
  • Enforce BRC, HACCP, SOPs, and product specifications.
  • Test finished products and raw materials for compliance with industry food specifications and standards.
  • Manage point step process review, label and materials review, and QA approval of documentation control, line clearing, and process deviations.
  • Work within a team structure to achieve PCB and Department goals.
  • Be accurate when collecting product data samples.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.


Requirements
  • Proficiency with all MS Office Suite programs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience enforcing SOP and product specifications.
  • Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership characteristics, communication skills, and ability to interact with management and employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases to interact with customers, suppliers, auditors, and technical support groups.
  • Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls.
  • Strong mathematics and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods of time, and climb stairs as needed.
