Big Lots is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead our retail team.

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a results-driven individual who can effectively manage store operations, drive sales growth, and provide exceptional customer service. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and directing all cashiering, front-end, and recovery functions to ensure seamless store operations.
- Supervising the service team to maintain high standards of customer service and associate recognition programs.
- Driving staffing efforts, including interviewing, hiring, and training associates to meet business needs.
- Administering disciplinary action, including recommendations for termination, in accordance with company policies.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and complying with customer service and associate recognition programs, managing store scheduling and payroll, and establishing plans to accomplish store initiatives.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of retail management experience, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds, work variable schedules, and travel between stores as needed.
