We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Hospice Unit. This role is on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

Assume comprehensive nursing responsibilities for providing care to hospice patients in an inpatient environment. Be knowledgeable about hospice criteria, state and federal regulations, and the appropriate care for patients and families facing end-of-life challenges.
  • Deliver hands-on nursing care in the hospice inpatient setting by applying the nursing process to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Understand the criteria for hospice general inpatient, respite, and routine home care.
  • Conduct and complete nursing assessments within the designated timeframe, according to the level of service required.
  • Accurately document issues, set appropriate goals, interventions, and patient/family responses to hospice care in the electronic medical record.
  • Perform record reviews for recertifications as necessary.
  • Initiate and coordinate the care plan for hospice patients in the inpatient setting based on identified needs and modify it as necessary to meet patient and family objectives.
Qualifications

Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required.

License Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice along with one year of clinical experience.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation or public transit.
