We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Hospice Unit. This is a PRN position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact in end-of-life care.
At LHC Group, particularly at our hospice facility, we prioritize a culture rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and trust. Our focus is on fostering meaningful relationships with patients, their families, and our team members, ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities
As an RN in our Inpatient Hospice Unit, you will:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a hospice setting, ensuring adherence to hospice criteria and regulations.
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments within designated timeframes, tailored to the level of service required.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record, including assessments, interventions, and responses.
- Review patient records for recertifications as necessary.
- Develop and adjust care plans based on patient needs and family goals, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
- A valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
