With six clinical sites strategically positioned to serve the underserved populations of Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, and neighboring cities, we offer a wide range of services, including dental care, optometry, pharmacy needs, behavioral health, and endocrinology.

Opportunity

We are seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our Care Teams across all our care sites. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service to all patients, customers, clients, coworkers, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Completing patient registrations in a professional, accurate, and customer-oriented manner
  • Obtaining information from patients' health insurance or managed care identification cards
  • Understanding and consistently demonstrating daily compliance to standardized practices and procedures in all areas of collecting, handling, and storage of cash funds
  • Answering all incoming calls appropriately and responding to calls from patients, physicians, physicians' office staff, and peers
  • Scheduling all appointments for patients on the scheduling system and working with the manager to meet scheduling goals
  • Processing requests for medical records from various agencies and verifying identification and authorization
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient information and documentation
  • Demonstrating respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum high school diploma or GED
  • A minimum three (3) years of experience in a general medical, dental, BHS, or specialized medical setting
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously across multiple departments and facilities
  • Completion of yearly competency trainings on customer service, UDS data, migrant and seasonal worker populations, insurance, and sliding fees programs
  • Proficient in English and another language (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, or other) preferred

We offer a competitive pay rate of $18.44-$20.77/hour, with the potential to reach up to $23.86/hour.
