Front Desk Hospitality Specialist

At Rocking Chair Hospitality Management LLC, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual to support the needs of our front desk department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all Front Desk standards of service and hospitality
- Promptly and effectively deal with guest complaints and requests
- Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner
- Post guest charges, compute guest bill and collect payment
- Handle guest mail/packages by making sure it is communicated to guest they receive their items
- Be very knowledgeable of Marriott Rewards program and promotions
- Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, surrounding area
- Block rooms and handle special requests
- Monitor room availability
- Handle safe deposits by guests per established procedures
- Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures
- Offer and properly handle requests for wake up calls
- Know how to clean guest rooms to standards
- Open and close shift and making cash drops
- Ensure all credit cards and cash are balanced throughout each shift
- Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information
- Keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs
- Must wear proper uniform at all times
- Be able to move luggage or packages weighing up to 40 pounds
- Employee must have reliable transportation and able to work weekends and holidays
- Perform other duties requested per management
Requirements:
- Previous hotel experience is preferred
- Previous customer service experience required
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
