Position Summary:
The Credit Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the credit operations of the Wholesale REP business (WSREP). This includes conducting thorough due diligence for onboarding new REPs and collaborating with Market Risk for periodic audits.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide strategic credit oversight and management for the WSREP business.
    • Monitor REP customers daily, analyzing asset coverage, compliance with facility limits, and other contractual obligations.
    • Engage in negotiations regarding credit terms in master trading agreements and structured transactions.
    • Collaborate with front office teams to gather essential information for credit assessments on transactions and new counterparties.
    • Conduct financial statement analyses to evaluate the creditworthiness of counterparties and recommend appropriate credit limits.
    • Lead the development and maintenance of cash flow valuation models for power plants and oil & gas reserves.
    • Investigate the use of Credit Default Swaps and other market mechanisms to manage credit risk proactively.
    • Establish operational monitoring for asset-heavy counterparties and create a playbook for credit risk mitigation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant analytical field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Mathematics).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in credit risk management, lending, or auditing.
• Preferred experience in credit risk management and financial auditing.
• Familiarity with master trading agreements typical in the energy trading sector.
• Experience with credit systems and software such as S&P, Moody's, Capital IQ, and Bloomberg is advantageous.
• Strong risk management background and excellent business acumen.
