Position Title: Catering Associate

Reports to: Catering Supervisor(s) and Catering Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
  • Monitor quality, product levels, and inventory of catering supplies.
  • Address guest needs promptly and resolve any complaints effectively.
  • Ensure proper setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of catered events.
  • Perform back of house, front of house, and side work duties to enhance the productivity of banquet events as assigned.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menus, food presentation, and service techniques with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks as required, including equipment storage, event setup, and teardown of tables and chairs.
  • Assist in the placement, movement, and storage of rental orders, buffet cards, and catering items.
  • Support Catering Supervisor(s) and Catering Operations Manager in resolving issues during events and offer creative solutions.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor towards clients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively and openly with leadership for overall success.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency in all tasks.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate effectively to guests and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, combined with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in operating all necessary equipment to fulfill job duties.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and to lift and handle boxes (up to 35 lbs) as required; accommodations available upon request.
  • Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Previous Experience:

  • Experience in catering and/or the event industry is a plus.
  • All educational backgrounds are welcome.
