Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction and quality of our healthcare projects. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and daily project scope
  • Ensure the overall organization and cleanliness of the job site
  • Responsible for on-the-job training, oversight, and supervision of employees
  • Prepare and implement requirements and scheduling to meet all inspection and permit specifications
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
  • Manage project cost and schedule, including cost and schedule analysis, estimating costs, and job change orders
  • Research and compile requests for information, design, schedule, cost, material inquiries, and unforeseen conditions
  • Determine manpower requirements on a daily basis for Wehr employees
  • Review, enforce, and ensure all parties abide by contract documents
  • Analyze and document daily progress and communicate pertinent information to owners/clients/project managers
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with all parties on-site to discuss quality control, safety, work coordination, schedule, concerns, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience or healthcare facilities management
  • Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) or similar healthcare regulation agency experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in reading and understanding architectural, engineering drawings, and specifications
Physical Demands

This position requires moderate levels of standing, walking, and talking/hearing. It sometimes requires sitting, the use of hands to finger, handle, feel, reaching with hands and arms, and rarely requires climbing/balancing or smelling.

Work Environment

This position rarely requires working near moving mechanical parts, working in high, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock. It sometimes requires being exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions.
