Job Title: MEP Superintendent

Turner Construction is seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to lead our Mechanical and Electrical Systems projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor to ensure timely and quality delivery of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, providing input on performance appraisals and ensuring strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget, ensuring strict adherence to approved contract documents.
  • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to resolve field issues, investigate, and implement solutions.
  • Manage the billing process, overseeing work in place, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience, with a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures, as well as general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems, including building information modeling and its use in coordination of project systems.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite, and ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
Physical Demands:

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work on-site at the construction work site, where they will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
