Job Title: Construction Assistant Superintendent

RQC Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our North Carolina Field Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Superintendent in overseeing the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors on a project jobsite.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Superintendent in ensuring the safe and efficient production of quality work, within project requirements and targeted budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate and direct the work of employees and subcontractors to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college courses in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
  • Three or more years of work experience in a lead Foreman position, with medium or large project experience required.
  • Three or more years of field or trade work experience in the construction industry, with government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy required, with specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable; LEED GA Credential desirable.

  • Competitive salary range: $70,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Fringe benefits, including vehicle allowance, medical/dental/vision benefits, and vacation/sick/holiday pay.
