Position Summary

The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading the production team and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures during their shift while also engaging in regular production tasks. This position is designated for the Swing shift, operating Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all production staff are adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Immediately report any safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Provide ongoing training and technical support to all production personnel, ensuring compliance with work instructions and best practices.
  • Promptly report any defective or non-conforming products or behaviors to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Conduct quality control checks as required by work instructions and under the guidance of production and quality leaders.
  • Maintain product traceability through effective use of the Data Collection System, ensuring its functionality at all times.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of raw materials necessary for fulfilling production schedules, including ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Address basic maintenance issues on production equipment in collaboration with the Maintenance Technician, following established procedures.
  • Work alongside the Maintenance Technician to resolve more complex maintenance challenges.
  • Communicate with Lead Hands and Shift Supervisors from adjacent shifts to relay information regarding issues and solutions encountered.
  • Inform the Shift Supervisor of any production, quality, process, or personnel-related issues as they arise.
  • Suggest improvements to procedures and processes to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Fill in for any operational staff during breaks or absences as needed.
  • Be available for overtime work as required.
  • Work to minimize accidents and quality issues.
  • Enhance the technical knowledge and engagement of the production team, ensuring optimal equipment uptime and product quality.
  • Achieve production targets and improvements set by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
