The Senior Trust Relationship Manager within our Comerica Advisor Solutions team is tasked with acting as the primary relationship steward for a designated portfolio. This role involves providing insights into specific trust agreements, overseeing comprehensive estate planning, and collaborating closely with our Financial Advisor associates.
This position plays a crucial role in business development, contributing significantly to the attainment of the division's annual net new business objectives.
Key Competencies: Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication abilities, adept problem-solving skills, relevant functional and technical expertise, the capacity to manage multiple tasks, adherence to service standards, and a customer-centric focus.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage routine accounts in alignment with governing documents, applicable regulations, and the needs of principals, income beneficiaries, and remaindermen.
- Review, analyze, and interpret documentation for guidance; assess accounts for completeness and accuracy, monitor account transactions, and respond to client inquiries to ensure compliance with governing documents and policies.
- Collaborate with management to devise solutions for issues raised by principals, income beneficiaries, and remaindermen, including requests for special distributions, fee concerns, or disputes.
- Oversee the initiation and closure of accounts, ensuring the acquisition of necessary documentation, complete asset transfers, accurate tax and account administration codes, and coordination of tax reporting with external CPAs and advisors.
Provide holistic wealth planning guidance to clients. Engage in projects that enhance overall business efficiency and service delivery. Maintain direct communication with Financial Advisor partners, clients, and internal stakeholders, offering timely updates on account activities and swiftly addressing requests. Collaborate with Advisor Solutions Trust Specialists to generate new business opportunities through partner networks. Foster referrals through established centers of influence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in account administration, particularly in trust management, investments, or insurance within a client service framework.
- At least 6 years of experience in business development related to trust administration, investments, or insurance.
