We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at Kern Valley State Prison. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
- Work under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II.
- Collaborate with healthcare partners and communities to enhance public safety and promote successful community reintegration through education, treatment, and active participation in rehabilitative and restorative justice programs.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within the department, other governmental agencies, healthcare partners, and communities.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
- Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.
