The Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility, is a critical role within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatments to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatments to patients in a correctional facility.
- Work under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II.
- Collaborate with healthcare partners and correctional facility staff to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of care required by patients.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
