About the Role:
The Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the management of over 300 pieces of leased rental equipment, ensuring they are fit for purpose and tracked efficiently. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize repairs and track damaged equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment is fit for purpose and tracked to create an efficient equipment management process
- Analyze existing operations to maximize efficiency and identify underutilized or unnecessary equipment
- Coordinate mobilizations and demobilizations
- Build and maintain a computer-based database
- Coordinate and prioritize repair plans
- Interface and coordinate with camp and logistics supervisors for labor support
- Manage all rental equipment inventory, including tracking locations and contractors' use of equipment
- Stage appropriate amounts of equipment for backup
- Log all downtime for maintenance and repair
- Track equipment accessories, such as duck ponds and heater trunks
- Document and track down equipment to identify excessive downtime on leased equipment
- Track the cost of repairs and the responsible party for all damaged or neglected equipment
- Prioritize repair schedules
- Use Samsara to monitor use, hours, and maintenance
- Schedule equipment for periodic service with appropriate vendors and mechanics
- Track repair schedules
- Identify underutilized or unnecessary equipment
- Inspect and label all equipment ready for field use
- Arrange for transportation of equipment to and from field locations through Alaska Logistics
- Additional duties as required
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Driver's License
- Two years of experience coordinating equipment, materials, or people on a large-scale project
- Arctic experience on large-scale projects
- Oil field experience is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in construction project logistics; preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Operational knowledge of normal arctic rental equipment (heaters, light plants, bull rails, generators, man lifts, forklifts, loaders, envirovacs)
- Experience in Alaskan Arctic is preferable
- Ability to oversee multiple activities simultaneously and perform under pressure
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Displays tactful, mature, and professional demeanor with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
