Senior Business Development Lead

Leidos is seeking a Senior Business Development Lead to drive business development activities for a diverse set of customers focused on solutions for our Government and Commercial Space customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify, accelerate, and pursue new business opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to capture and win opportunities within the Fed-Civ Community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the pipeline to ensure alignment with business area, sector, and corporate strategy.
- Assist with the gathering, assessment, and validation of customer requirements, identifying gaps and emerging requirements.
- Assess the competitive landscape and determine optimal teaming partners.
- Negotiate and influence others to understand and accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience and 15+ years prior relevant experience or a master's degree with 12+ years of experience.
- Excellent communications skills, demonstrated through written and oral presentations, development of technical papers, volumes, or similar products.
- Possess business and technical vision, ability to think strategically, and analytical presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations.
- Proven record of success capturing and winning opportunities within the Fed-Civ Community with emphasis on opportunity pursuit, pre-proposal, proposal, and post-proposal activities.
- 10+ years leading people, teams, and programs.
- Master's degree.
- 15+ years of experience with NASA/NOAA/DOE.
- Prior business development experience in the space market.
