Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist Float Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating C-arm and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Imaging (80%)
    • Perform routine and advanced procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision or repeats.
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
    • Explain and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring they are positioned correctly for scanning.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed to produce high-quality images.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
  • Imaging Support (15%)
    • Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
    • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to employee involvement.
    • Assist in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual.
    • Provide training and technical expertise to new associates.
  • Other Duties (5%)
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday with no call, including weekend rotation. The successful candidate will have the option to work part-time hours/week in a 0.8 or 0.9 status. Willingness to cross-train in another modality, such as CT or MRI, is a plus.
