Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately record patient demographics, insurance, and billing information
  • Process payments, complete daily deposits, and batch reports
  • Process telephone calls accurately in accordance with established protocols
  • Perform real-time eligibility for insurance benefits
  • Maintain department-specific files, programs, and recall systems
  • Schedule patient appointments and reconcile daily schedules with appointment reports
  • Support the basic functions of medical records, including locating and distributing patient documents and information
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of clerical support in a healthcare setting or related experience preferred
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
