About the Role

Learfield is seeking a highly skilled Affiliate Representative to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with local radio stations, ensuring seamless affiliation processes, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Affiliation Process Management: Serve as the primary liaison between our networks and local radio stations, facilitating a smooth affiliation process.
  • Prospect Recruitment and Retention: Identify and develop new prospects, as well as maintain existing relationships with affiliate radio stations.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate deal points for affiliate contracts, including revenue, inventory, and term.
  • Interpersonal Relationships and Communications: Foster strong relationships with network affiliates, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Compliance and Clearance: Ensure affiliate compliance with network contract requirements and increase affiliate clearance of network products.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in local and/or network radio business or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of and ability to understand and sell a diverse lineup of programming products, including news, agriculture, sports, and lifestyle.
  • Negotiation and Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to interact proactively with staff and management across all levels and departments.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Highly organized, able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Professionalism and Confidentiality: Proven ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction, as well as flexibility to travel as necessary.
