About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Valley View Village, a 79-bed senior care campus. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Valley View Village policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow a written care plan to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure, using our computerized software.
  • Assist with various resident cares, such as answering light calls, feeding, and helping residents to the bathroom.
  • Administer topical treatments as prescribed by our medical team.
  • Observe resident behavior and report any changes in condition or behavior to your supervisor.
Requirements
  • Current, valid CMA/CNA licenses in the state of Iowa.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • Regular attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing situations.
