Job Overview

We are seeking an Ecommerce Sales and Marketing Assistant to provide administrative support to our Sales team. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory is in stock, review reports, create orders, and create and update product listings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create email campaign templates and schedule them to capitalize on promotional opportunities.
  • Coordinate launches of new products with the product manager to meet market and customer demand.
  • Recommend products to customers based on customers' interests and needs.
  • Respond to customers' inquiries about products, pricing, availability, product features, and credit terms.
  • Update product listings and banners.
  • Cross-check MS Excel reports, for inventory levels, backlog, and product listings.
  • Respond to customers' inquiries via email, phone, and live chats in a timely manner by assessing, troubleshooting, and providing problem resolution.
  • Prepare estimates and quotes, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
  • Enter data for sales orders and various ecommerce reports; (e.g. sales information, inventory allocation, shipping requirements, etc.)
  • Support preparation of sales reports and presentations.
  • Document customer records accurately to reflect the status of services rendered at all times.
  • Utilize our platform to maintain, update, and edit database information including product and customer information.
  • Administer return policy according to Volcus policies and procedures.
  • Maintain online vendor portals with current information.
  • Stay current on product information.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
  • Typing speed at least 70 wpm
  • Data entry.
  • Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office - Proficient skills in Excel.
  • ERP experience, Oracle Netsuite a plus.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills, specifically via computer.
  • Order processing experience, strongly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible with change.
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, quick reaction environment, with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to keep an even level of composure in all circumstances.
  • Goal oriented; ability to work independently.
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written communication.
  • Must be honest, ethical, and have a high level of integrity.
