Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Petroleum Construction Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of petroleum-related construction initiatives, ensuring that projects progress according to established timelines. This role involves overseeing the flow of materials, coordinating deliveries, and managing skilled trades and equipment. The Supervisor will also direct on-site construction activities, supervising the crew to guarantee that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all construction operations.
  • Ensure that the crew is informed of project requirements and timelines, and monitor the completion of tasks.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to verify adherence to quality expectations.
  • Maintain the construction schedule and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage daily scheduling of petroleum-related construction projects and personnel.
  • Organize procurement of necessary materials for projects.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of equipment required for construction activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Advocate for job site safety, promote safe work practices, and address hazards immediately.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and maneuvering equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Work in environments with exposure to dust, fumes, and elevated noise levels.
  • Adapt to varying weather conditions while working extended hours outdoors.
  • Maintain a high level of alertness and safety awareness.
  • Exhibit regular and dependable attendance.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and maintain courteous interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Engage in regular communication with peers on-site, including both formal and informal meetings.
  • Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental protocols, as well as Employee Handbook policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL A preferred.
  • Attention to detail with strong follow-up skills.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
